Connor McMichael Wins OHL Fan Poll For ‘Most Exciting To Watch” For 2019-2020 Season

The votes are in. Out of all four OHL skaters to have reached 100 points over the 2019-20 season, Capitals prospect and London Knight Connor McMichael dazzled fans above all with 45.4% of votes. 

Next was Ottawa’s Marco Rossi, who recieved 25.6% of votes, followed by Oshawa’s Philip Tomasino at 19% and Saginaw’s Cole Perfetti at 10%.

The 2019-2020 season was extraordinary for McMichael, from start to finish. McMichael recorded his second hat trick of the season on November 1st, and had a total of six tricks for the season. McMichael was named OHL player of the week three times, the most in the OHL this season. He finished the season with 47 goals and 55 assists (102 points) in 52 games for a 1.96 points per game average. He recorded 283 shots for a shooting percentage of 16.6% for the season. He also had a pretty good showing at the World Juniors this year. His confidence never wavered the entire season.  He would mention in numerous interviews throughout the season that he felt he gained confidence in Capitals training camp last September.

    Not sure who to compare him to…..TJ Oshie? He is so smooth and calm with the puck like Kuzy. It seems like he plays in slow motion. His shot to the upper corner is better than Vrana’s.
