Michal Kempny, Radko Gudas Participate in Charity Soccer Match in Prague

A charity soccer match entitled “Clash of the Charitable Titans“ was held Thursday evening at the Viktor Žižkov stadium in Prague, Czech Republic. The game featured a team of celebrities named “Real Top Prague” and a team named after the “Jakub Voráček Foundation”, which included Washington Capitals players Michal Kempny and Radko Gudas. For the participants of the soccer exhibition, this was again further proof that life is slowly returning to normal. Due to the coronavirus epidemic, certain hygiene rules still had to be followed, but the “Clash of Charitable Titans” with the participation of famous Czech athletes and actors was finally open to the fans.

“Nice, really nice … I’m so glad I could be here with the boys. I saw some again after a long time. Definitely a nice event, it worked out. I had leg surgery last year, so I didn’t play last summer, but when the opportunity arises, I like to play football very much. It’s great when so many boys find time and support a beautiful thing. I’m very happy that we were able to help this way, “said Michal Kempný.

The game, which was decided by penalties at 6: 6, was eventually won by the team led by Jan Koller. The best gunner in the history of the Czech national football team scored two goals for a team full of NHL hockey players.

The “Jakub Voráček Foundation” team did not do without its founder, who played goaltender. “My leg hurts a bit, so I wanted to be careful not to make it worse,” admitted the the Flyers star.

Voráček himself put on his gloves and stepped between the poles, in front of him the best shooter this season played David Pastrňák, Filip Hronek, Michael Frolík, Petr Mrázek, Martin Nečas or Michal Kempný.

In addition to a number of NHL players, including the four-time winner of the Golden Hockey Stick, David Pastrňák, former great footballer Patrik Berger and the popular actor Jakub Kohák also participated in the game.
