Capitals Have Nominations in 5 Categories in NHL Fan Choice Awards

The NHL Fan Choice Awards are back and the Washington Capitals have nominations in five different categories. Voting is open and ends on June 1.

Gif of the Year

Captain Alex Ovechkin is nominated for Gif of the Year with his surprise pop-up.

Top Team Video

The Capitals is nominated for Top Team Video with Jackson Friedlander’s viral “Mite of the Nite” interview back in October.

Best Bromance

Forwards T.J. Oshie and Jakub Vrana are nominated for Best Bromance.

Best Team Dog

Captain is nominated for Best Team Dog.

Best Pregame Ritual

Oshie is also nominated for Best Pregame Ritual.

In addition, Slapshot is nominated for Best Mascot, and Capital One Arena is nominated for Best Building.
