Vegas Releases Odds For First-Round Playoffs Series, Capitals Heavy Favorites To Beat Hurricanes

Believe it or not, you can now wager on potential matchups for the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. That’s right, sportsbooks have released first-round series odds in the event the NHL is able to resume play following its coronavirus hiatus.

According to Sports Betting Dime, the seeding is based on the current standings and assumes the NHL won’t have time to conclude its regular season and will go straight into a playoff.

The Capitals are currently heavy favorites to beat the Hurricanes at -190. (You would need to place a $190 bet to win $100). The Hurricanes are the underdogs at +165. (You would win $165 if you placed a $100 bet).
