With the onset of the coronavirus cancelling, pausing, or suspending various sports leagues’ seasons and events in the last several weeks, the impact goes beyond just teams, players, and personnel. The broadcasting crews that cover these leagues have been left without work and to keep their voices in shape, Play-by-Play Announcers have begun calling a play-by-play sequence of anything.

This includes hockey broadcasters such as Play-by-Play announcer for the East Coast Hockey League’s Adirondack Thunder, Evan Pivnick, who has been play-calling some pretty hilarious situations:

Sportscaster Josh Lewin also joined in with a play-by-play ofserving ice cream:

Famous Fox Sports Play-by-Play man Joe Buck has begun taking submissions to play call, with a request that those whose video is submitted donate any amount to a chase to help combat coronavirus:

As the prolonged absence of sports goes on, there will be no doubt that more and more Play-by-Play announcers will join in on the fun, with some likely predictable hilarious calls.
