The coronavirus is so severe that it even postponed an event for an NHL team that is a little less than 19 months from making their debut as the Seattle franchise delayed the unveiling of its team name on Wednesday night due to the pandemic, according to the Sports Business Journal.

The team was set to release its name at some point next month. The NHL Expansion Draft set to take place just after next season and their inaugural season is set to be during the 2021-22 campaign.

The team will play at KeyArena, which was recently renovated.

On late Tuesday night, the Ottawa Senators announced that one of their players tested positive for the virus, the first case for COVID-19 in the league.
