Following Thursday’s news of the NHL pausing the season due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Washington Capitals announced on Friday that all tickets already purchased for a postponed game will be honored when the game is rescheduled.
This is reassuring to fans who had bought tickets prior to the suspension of the league. Please note that at this time, all games have been postponed but not canceled. The team also mentioned all ticket holders will be presented with “a range of options” should games get canceled.
From the Capitals
The National Hockey League (NHL) has suspended the 2019-20 season until further notice as it continues to assess the impact of COVID-19. As such, all Capitals games are postponed until a later date. No games have been canceled at this time. All tickets already purchased for a postponed game will be honored when the game is rescheduled. We will continue to monitor this evolving situation closely, and will continue to communicate with our fans as more information becomes available. If games are canceled, all ticket holders will be presented with a range of options at that time.
