Hershey Bears’ Joe Snively Records First Professional Career Hat Trick In Win Over Checkers

Hershey Bears‘ forward Joe Snively recorded his first hat trick of the season and first hat trick professionally in Tuesday’s 6-1 victory over the Charlotte Checkers at Giant Center in Hershey. He now has 22 points (12 goals) thus far.

Since returning from injury, his first tally came 4:02 into the opening frame. Forward Matt Moulson and center Philippe Maillet had the assists.

Just 3:19 into the second period, Snively potted his second goal of the night from assists by defensemen Alex Alexeyev and Tyler Lewington.

Snively completed the hat trick with his 12th goal of the season late into the middle frame at the 17:34 mark. Defenseman Bobby Nardella had the lone assist. Not only is it his first of the season, but also Snively’s first professional career hat trick.

The Herndon, Virginia, native has picked up 12 goals, 10 assists, and 22 points in 42 games played with the Bears.
