A scrum by the net turned into a big fight with Washington Capitals defenseman and newest acquisition Brenden Dillon and Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin, and it was a good one.

Right after the buzzer signaling the end of the opening frame, Dillon and Malkin exchanged blows. One punch from Dillon knocked Malkin’s helmet right off.

Each player was given a four-minute roughing penalty at the start of the second period.
