Programming alert! NBCSN will feature the Washington Capitals-Vegas Golden Knights game on Monday as Capitals’ captain Alex Ovechkin‘s chase for 700 goals continues. Action from T-Mobile Arena begins at 6:00 P.M. ET.
Viewers can still watch Monday’s game on NBC Sports Washington locally. This is the third time this season NBCSN has flexed a Capitals game into their programming: February 10 vs. New York Islanders and February 12 at Colorado Avalanche.
After recording a hat trick in the span of only four minutes and 24 seconds in the February 4 victory over the Los Angeles Kings, Ovechkin currently sits at 698 career goals. He will become the eighth player in league history to achieve the 700-goal plateau.
From NBC Sports
With Alex Ovechkin just two goals shy of reaching 700 goals for his NHL career, NBC Sports has flexed in to the Washington Capitals game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday evening at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The game will be blacked out on NBCSN in the Vegas and Washington D.C. markets and will air on their respective RSNs.
Ovechkin currently sits at 698 career goals, and in reaching the 700-goal benchmark, he is looking to become just the eighth player in NHL history to achieve the momentous feat.
