The fine folks at Altitude Sports, (the Colorado Avalanche’s broadcasting partner) presented an excellent video during Thursday nights Caps-Avs game. The video plotted each and every shot location (red dots) for all of Alex Ovechkin’s 698 goals.
The video also included shot locations for all goals scored against the Colorado Avalanche (denoted with blue dots).
Not surprising, more than two-thirds of Ovechkin’s goals have come from the left side of the ice. (473 on the left side of center, 225 on the right side of center.
