On Wednesday, Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie and his brand, WARROAD, presented the Super Service Challenge (SSC) Broomball Tournament at Medstar Capitals Iceplex. Oshie is a big supporter of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) and the tournament raised money for the foundation.

Participants split into their respective teams as round one began.

Following the event, Oshie took photos with The ADDF Chief Executive Officer Mark Roithmayr, Great Ladies co-chair Kelly Ripken, NT Concepts’ Michele Bolos, and the participants.

After the Capitals won the Stanley Cup back in 2018, Oshie gave an emotional interview talking about his father, Tim’s battle with Alzheimer’s. “This one will stick with him forever. You can guarantee that,” Oshie said.

He was also honored by The ADDF in May 2019 for his support and awareness.

Oshie has participated in several events to fight Alzheimer’s such as The Longest Day campaignhosting raffles, and taking part in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
