Hershey Bears forward and Washington Capitals prospect Shane Gersich netted his first hat trick of the season in Friday’s 4-1 victory over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
Gersich opened the scoring early in the second frame, notching his 7th goal of the season.

His second goal of the night (eighth of the season) would come minutes later. Gersich extended the lead 2-1 for the Bears.

He completed the hat trick with an empty-net goal less than two minutes left in the third period.

Gersich’s hat trick marked the first of the season. Leading Hershey with five shots-on-goal tonight, he also earned the first star in the Bears’ “Three Stars of the Game”. Gersich has 9 goals, 5 assists, and 14 points in 39 games played.

Gersy has been heating up, his game has evolved quite a bit this season. Shooting percentage also up substantially from last season.
But he will prob never play top 6 in the NHL
