Some much needed time off came to a close as most Washington Capitals are returning to the District from the All-Star Break with friends and family. With the skills event tonight, here are the last bits of photos and videos from vacations this past week.
Alex Ovechkin feat. Tom Wilson
The Capitals captain spent the break at the Riviera Maya in Mexico with his wife Nastya, his son Sergei, and extended family. Tom Wilson and his girlfriend, Taylor were also vacationing in Mexico.
T.J. Oshie
The Oshie family stayed local this week most likely preparing to head to St. Louis for the All-Star Weekend.
Oshie was selected to participate through the “Last Men In” vote on January 11. Lauren congratulated him on Instagram.
Michal Kempny
Another Capital was in Mexico— Kempny and his girlfriend, Nicola, spent time in Cancún during the bye week.

John Carlson
The Carlson family also stayed in the D.C. area and made their way to St. Louis yesterday.
Garnet Hathaway
Hathaway and his fiancée relaxed in New York along with working on preparations for their summer wedding. He visited the Barbetorium barbershop in Rochester and got a “hammy cut”.
Carl Hagelin
Hagelin and his family spent time at the beach.

Initially, I was critical of Ovechkin’s choice to skip the ASG hoopla, but seeing all the extra-game silliness all this week I can see his point of view. He has participated in all this nonsense for many years; let the man rest for a week.
