After an eventful Tuesday morning which saw the Capitals officially announce the re-signing of their star centerman Nicklas Backstrom to five more years in Washington, Tuesday night saw the return of the Scarlet Caps’ annual Hockey N’ Heels event at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

This year’s event included appearances by Capitals players Jakub Vrana, Jonas Siegenthaler, Brendan Leipsic and Ilya Samsonov, who was fresh off his first NHL shutout last night against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Capitals Head Coach Todd Reirden and US Olympian Haley Skarupa were also on hand for the event. Capitals assistant GM Don Fishman presented on the NHL Salary Cap and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Capitals legends Rod Langway and Craig “Locker” Laughlin were also on hand for the event.

NoVa Caps’ photojournalist Joe Noyes was on hand for the event and captured a few of the images.
