Washington Capitals forward Carl Hagelin was absent from the team’s morning skate on Saturday with an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day. Forward Chandler Stephenson will take Hagelin’s spot on the third-line against the Vegas Golden Knights tonight (7 PM ET, NBC Sports Washington).

Center Nic Dowd will likely return against the Golden Knights after missing the past three games with a lower-body injury. He slotted in the fourth-line.
