Alex Ovechkin scored the 668th goal of his NHL career against the Toronto Maple Leafs Tuesday night. He is now tied for twelth place on the All Time list with Luc Robitaille.
The goal, which is Ovechkin’s tenth of the season, occurred during the third period and tied the game 3-3. He got assists from T.J. Oshie and Nicklas Backstrom.

The next goal-scoring milestone for Ovechkin, once he surpasses Robitaille’s total, will be catching number 11 on the goal scoring list, Teemu Selanne, who scored 684 career NHL goals.
This goal, along with two assists early in the game, now leave him with 1228 points, which is one short of Norm Ullman’s total. Ullman currently ranks #41 on the All Time list.
