Alex Ovechkin Scores 668th And 669th Career Goals; Passes Luc Robitaille for 12th on All Time List For Career Goals; Ties Norm Ullman in Career Points

Alex Ovechkin scored the 668th and 669th goals of his NHL career against the Toronto Maple Leafs Tuesday night.  He moved ahead of Luc Robitaille for twelth place on the All Time list.

The goal, Ovechkin’s eleventh of the season, was the game winning goal, which occurred during a power play in overtime, resulting in a 4-3 victory by the Washington Capitals.

Ovechkin scored goal #668 earlier in the game which tied the game up at 3-3.

Ovechkin now needs just 15 more goals to tie Teemu Selanne, who scored 684 career NHL goals.

Additionally, Ovechkin now ranks first in NHL history with 23 career overtime goals and ranks seventh in game-winning goals with 108.
