Drama and Intrigue! The 2019-20 Caps roster on 29 Sept 2019 has 28 players and every one is NHL-ready or a proven Champion. Not a single guy on that list that makes me go “How did HE get this far?” That wasn’t the case in the past three seasons, including the Stanley Cup year.

Mike Sgarbossa is still on the list! Much of that is from what he DOESN’T do: Doesn’t take lazy stick penalties; never out of defensive position; doesn’t do knucklehead stuff in the locker room or off the ice. Coaches like his face-off abilities. Will be interesting! Sg hasn’t been real flashy in pre-season, but here he is, with just one weekend to go.

Three goalies! Who stays? Nine defensemen. Who goes?

Then there’s always that pesky Salary Cap. Betcha that will determine which forward or two will go away before 5PM on Tuesday.

    Stanley Cup or Bust!

the cap is killing us. Going to cost us someone who will get claimed on waivers. Cops. Stevo. Djoos. I don’t think Lewington or O’Brien will get claimed but the first three absolutely could.

None of the first 3 are big losses imo. They’re are all being passed on by younger and better players. Copley would be the toughest loss of the 3. Even is he doesn’t make it with the Caps, Hershey could sure use him.
