The Washington Capitals announced their promotional schedule for the 2019-20 season on Tuesday afternoon. Notable events on the schedule include bobblehead night on Tuesday, March 24 against the defending Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues, Hockey Fights Cancer night on Saturday, November 23 vs. the Vancouver Canucks, and the team’s holiday party on Saturday, December 21 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Unlike previous years, the Capitals did not announce which player will be on this season’s bobblehead.
The Capitals brought back holiday celebrations such as “Caps Giving,” which will take place on Wednesday, November 27 vs. the Florida Panthers, and the holiday party.
All fans in attendance for the Capitals game against the Nashville Predators on Wednesday, January 29 will receive a scarf with the team logo on it.
The Capitals added college nights for schools around the area, such as American University, George Washington University, and George Mason University, to their promotional schedule. Each fan at those games will get a Capitals hat in the colors of that institution that is being celebrated that night.

All fan giveaway highlights include a 2019-20 schedule magnet presented by GEICO on Oct. 5 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes, a scarf courtesy of Capital One on Jan. 29 vs. the Nashville Predators, a reusable tote bag courtesy of NHL Network on Feb. 4 vs. the Los Angeles Kings, a player bobblehead courtesy of Capital One on March 24 vs. the St. Louis Blues and a team poster on April 2 vs. the Minnesota Wild.

This season, the Capitals will offer an array of special group ticket events. Each special group ticket will receive a unique gift with purchase item or experience specific to the group theme. Special group ticket events include Educators Night on Oct. 14 vs. the Colorado Avalanche, Firefighters Night on Nov. 3 vs. the Calgary Flames, Medical Professionals Night on Nov. 18 vs. the Anaheim Ducks, Scout Day on Nov. 23 vs. the Vancouver Canucks, Youth Hockey Day on Jan. 5 vs. the San Jose Sharks, Pride Night on Jan. 7 vs. the Ottawa Senators, Kids Night on Jan. 11 vs. the New Jersey Devils and Law Enforcement Night on Feb. 25 vs. the Winnipeg Jets. In addition, the Capitals announced that they will host College Series Nights. With the purchase of a college series ticket, fans will receive a Capitals hat in their school color.
