Capitals’ Christian Djoos And Nicklas Backstrom Participate In Annual Brynäs Black White Game

Washington Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom and defenseman Christian Djoos participated in the annual Brynäs Black White charity hockey game at Gavlerinken Arena in Gavle, Sweden on Thursday. The event featured pregame activities, an autograph session for fans, and a hockey tournament.

Anaheim Ducks forward Jakob Silfverberg and Philadelphia Flyers forward Oskar Lindblom were among other notable NHL players to participate in the event.

The game featured four female hockey players, including Erika Grahm, who announced the boycott of Swedish female hockey players on the national team advocating for equal pay.

Erika would receive the loudest ovation during the opening lineup introductions:
