Ovi-shop: NHL Asks Fans to “Send” Alex Ovechkin Anywhere in the World After The Great Eight’s Trip to China

Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin recently spent several days in China as an ambassador to an NHL initiative to raise awareness and support for hockey and the league in China. Among the many stops The Great Eight made was the iconic Great Wall of China, and with the trip now over, the NHL took to Twitter to ask fans to “send” Ovechkin to other destinations via photoshop.

As one can imagine, the above photo gives fans a chance to be creative when creating their photo-shopped Ovi images, as the resulting posts will show:

Some sent Ovechkin back to the memorable summer of 2018, when he and the Capitals seemingly celebrated their first Stanley Cup championship all summer long:

Another had the Capitals’ captain taking a selfie with Team Vice President of Communications Sergey Kocharov, who recently won $1 million in the lottery:

This one had Ovechkin going back in time to his draft day in 2004:

Others had The Great Eight exploring places such as Stonehenge and the 1969 Apollo Moon landing:
