I’ll go with 100.5 points, and the Metro crown.

Both Las Vegas and Ovechkin himself project a ringing non-endorsement of the current state of Caps’ affairs.

All they are, are projections based on Mathematical Algorithyms etc. Caps have been projected around 100point mark for few years now& theyve won 4 straight Metros. I dont see that changing. I see a lot changing underneath the caps between all the 3 NY/NJ Teams either stepping back (NYIs) or improving in terms of Rags&Devils landing somewhere in the mid 80 point range to low 90s. Im not fully bought into Carter Hart being this Holtby,Bob,Henrik type goalie straight out the gate for 65 games& instantly Philly is cup tenders. Even if hes good their skill players are bottom half of the Metro& East. You are not taking Giroux&Vorecek&co over OV,Backy,Kuzy,Vrana etc. Not over Sid,Malkin etc. Not over Panarin, Kakko&co or Leafs w/Mathews,Marner,Taveres, etc. Bolts crew etc so theres like 6-7 teams atleast with more talent then philly. Im not buying them knocking caps off.
Only team that will defeat the caps are the caps bc they still are the most talented team in the metro

I believe, like all other Vegas lines, they are set based on estimated money wagered, and less to do with actual analytics on teams. It’s a financial balancing act for oddsmakers.

Yes you are correct in that lines move up or down based on public and sharp wagering. But where do they get the point projections not off wagers? The Vegas insiders has their own systems& algorithyms for NFL,MLB,NHL to set a baseline win totals, point totals etc. Then it moves based on wagering
