Alex Ovechkin Paints With Children From Russian Sledge Hockey Team

The Children’s Sledge Hockey League in Russia hosted a creative workshop for children on Thursday in Moscow.  The first stage, “Hockey – the World of Bright Colors” provided children the opportunity to paint with the Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin; Vika Zamataeva from the Krylya Sovetov club and Nikita Fomenko from the Tropic club contributed on a painting with the Great 8.

During the session, Ovi not only wished the children good luck, but also applauded them with their inexhaustible energy.  What else can you dream? The painting will be part of a larger auction to be held in August, will all proceeds benefiting the Children’s Sledge Hockey League.

The mission of the league is to “create conditions for the development and popularization of sledge hockey and enhancing its role in the social rehabilitation of children and young people with various disabilities.”
