Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation and Ryan and Lucas Johansen once again hosted the Ryan and Lucas Johansen Charity Golf Classic on Tuesday at the Swaneset Golf and Country Club in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. This was the second year the Johansen brothers were naming-partners of the long-standing annual event. (Our post on last year’s event is here.)
This year’s event included NHL players Derek Grant, Colton Sissons, Viktor Arvidsson, Dante Fabbro and Brenden Dillon.
Lucas Johansen, the Washington Capitals’ first round draft pick in 2016, and big brother Ryan (of the Nashville Predators) entered into a new naming partnership with the long-standing charity tournament last year, which has raised over $2.5 million to support the greatest needs of Eagle Ridge Hospital.
Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation’s primary purpose is to raise funds and awareness to improve the health of our community through donations to Eagle Ridge Hospital (ERH). You can make a donation to the foundation here.
The Johansen brothers have hosted a variety of fundraising events in B.C., including raising funds for the local fire department that was fighting massive wild fires two summers ago. The fundraising event was held at the Parkside Brewery in the Johansen’s hometown of Port Moody, British, Columbia – a suburb of Vancouver. The event raised a much-needed $2,000 for Port Moody Fire and Rescue and the Canadian Red Cross, who were busy battling huge wild fires in southwest Canada. More here.
