Nathan Walker Signs With St. Louis Blues

Nathan Walker, the Capitals third round draft pick (#89 overall) in the 2014 NHL entry draft has signed a new deal with the St. Louis Blues on Monday.

Walker spent a majority of his time in the Capitals organization playing with the team’s AHL affiliate the Hershey Bears, but did eventually crack the Capitals lineup, becoming the first Australian to play in the NHL.

Walker was waived by the Capitals twice during his tenure with the organization, the last time coming on November 4, 2018 (here). The forward was placed on waivers the previous season and was subsequently claimed by the Edmonton Oilers on December 1. The Oilers later placed him on waivers and the Capitals claimed him on December 20 (here).
