Quinnipiac Bobcats defenseman and Washington Capitals‘ prospect Chase Priskie will not sign an entry-level contract with the Capitals and become an unrestricted free agent on August 15.
Chase Priskie, WSH 6th round pick in 2016, has informed the Capitals he will NOT be signing with them and will become UFA on Aug. 15. Priskie finished his senior season with Quinnipiac and should be a highly sought after free agent defenceman.

Shades of Eric Lindros, Jimmy Vesey, John Elway.
I remember one Caps’ year, when they were big-time under-achieving, that Peter Bondra and Sergei Gonchar decided to “hold out” at the start of the season to protest their meager pay and wimpy contracts. Anyone remember which season?
