Washington Capitals prospect Axel Jonsson-Fjällby had himself a night yesterday, scoring two goals and securing the win for Djurgården against Skellefteå, in the SHL quarterfinals.

The first goal was a real crowd pleaser, where “The hunter” started in the defensive zone with a interception, and then skating through the Skellefteå defense, then going top-shelf to put it behind the Skellefteå goalie.

Later in the game, Jonsson-Fjällby sealed the deal with the goal which meant the end result of 4-2 to Djurgården. This time, after yet another interception.

In both goals he showed his blazing speed which really looks NHL-ready. Hopefully his game are more consistent moving on, and that he can carry this form with him. Anyhow, Friday night was something special for him. Some light in a otherwise frustrating season.
