Defenseman Christian Djoos will suit up for the first time since February 23 when the Washington Capitals visit the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night at 7:30 PM ET (can be seen on NBC Sports Washington or NBCSN nationally). He will take defenseman Brooks Orpik’s spot in the lineup on the third-pair alongside defenseman Nick Jensen.
Center Nic Dowd will draw into the lineup for center Travis Boyd on the fourth-line. Dowd has been a healthy scratch in each of the past two games.
Goaltender Pheonix Copley will get the start against the Devils, which means goaltender Braden Holtby will almost certainly go against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Capital One Arena tomorrow night (7:30 PM ET, NBCSN).
The Capitals also announced today that the team will visit the White House on Monday to celebrate their Stanley Cup Championship.
