Hershey Bears Lose in OT to Toronto Marlies after Comeback Third Period (Photos)

HERSHEY, PA —  The Hershey Bears held on to their five game point streak tonight, scoring two goals in the third period to tie the game and force the overtime against the Calder Cup Champion Toronto Marlies. Devante Smith-Pelly came up huge again for the Bears notching the game-tying goal. DSP now has 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists) in 8 games with the Chocolate and White.

The OT goal was a bit of a tough one. Vanecek was toppled over after a Marlies player fell on him and not long after getting up did Chris Mueller finish it off for Toronto. Wish it would’ve went a little bit better for Vanecek, who made 22 saves on 27 shots.

A couple photos of Samsonov’s new Hershey bucket.

Smiling with the enemy until puck drop.

The splits. Ooof.

It’s a goal from Jayson Megna.

And a celebration from Aaron Ness

Now it’s Tuna time.

He also got a game misconduct for throwing his helmet at the player he fought. Uh oh.

The glass made it weird, but it’s still a good one because the Bears are happy.

Jordan Subban makes it 4-2 for the Marlies.
Drawing up plays for the extra attacker, maybe?
Pilon makes it 4-3.

And DSP evens the score at 4-4

A welcomed addition to the Bears’ lineup.

Uh.
