The defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals held one final (optional) skate before departing for the Big Apple Thursday afternoon. The Capitals will face the New York Islanders Friday night at Nassau Coliseum in a battle for first place in the Metropolitan division. NoVa Caps’ photojournalist Joe Noyes was on hand to capture a few of the images from their final preparations at MedStar.
