  1. Day One Caps Fan says:

It’s a “W”! But the Caps just can’t stop anybody this year. Goal after goal after goal POURS into the Capitals’ net. A rotten trend! Glad to see Jensen in the lineup. Looks like a seasoned pro. #29 still looks shell-shocked out there … and #22, glad he is somebody ELSE’s problem now.
So what will Coach Perfect do to improve the Cap’s Swiss-cheese defense? I’m all ears!

Wish you’d go back to the regular video, with audio. This GIF looking things are really bad.

  3. Day One Caps Fans says:

Commander Copley didn’t do the Caps any favors against NYR. Three of those goals were Folly Floaters that a top-line NHL goalie is supposed to stop. I think I was bashing the defense a bit too hard! These were long, long, long-range shots with minimal screens. Boo Hiss!
Vanacek? Samsonov? Oops I forgot. We just paid a fortune for Commander Copley

  4. Day One Caps Fan says:

WNST’s Ed Frankovic observes: “Pheonix Copley (26 saves) allowed four long range goals in this tilt. In his defense, there were screens and tips on most of them, but you’d like to see him stop at least one of those tallies, especially at least one or two of the third period markers.” Yes, I’d like to see him stop all of them! Ed’s being WAY too nice to the leaky Goalie who can’t find a high shot for all the scorpions in Phoenix. Grubauer was like this in Games 1 and 2 vs Columbus last playoffs.
    Fix it!
