The Washington Capitals fell to the Anaheim Ducks, who entered the game with a 3-16-4 record in their last 20 games heading into the game, by a score of 5-2 on Sunday night at Honda Center. The loss dropped the Capitals to a record of 1-2-0 on their current season-long six-game road trip and left them still five points of the New York Islanders for first place in the Metro Division. They now have a two-point cushion on the Pittsburgh Penguins, who have played the same amount of games as the Capitals this season, and Columbus Blue Jackets, who enter Monday with two games in hand on the Capitals and Penguins. Goaltender Braden Holtby made 34 saves in the loss.

The last two games are a good summary of the Caps season so far.
Pretty much, Play good v a good team come back couple days later and get sh*t kicked v a bottomfeeder team. Really has been this teams story for many years now in this era, playing to the level of the opponent. Thinking they can just show up for some of these games because its v bottomfeeder teams, like the truism goes they get paid to. They got families to feed, just bc on paper OV,Backy,Kuzy etc talent wise is more talented then 98% of nhl doesnt mean you can just show up even v bad teams.
11 goals to the league’s worst scoring team.
A horrible effort by the hockey club just pitiful
Anybody still on the Baldy Bandwagon?
Caps are toast in 2019
