The 2019 NHL All-Star Game was clearly a hit in San Jose, with fans, coaches, players, and everyone involved having fun during one of the busiest weekends in the NHL, with the Metropolitan Division ultimately capturing $1 million in prize money and some bragging rights over their fellow players. However, the ratings for the game on television also proved to be a hit with many, as the ratings on NBC in the United States show.
Per NBC Sports, the 2019 All-Star game posted a 1.29 overnight rating, the third-highest for an All-Star Game since 2004 (a good 15 years ago), and was also the best non-Stanley Cup Playoff primetime overnight rating since 2014.
