HERSHEY, PA. — In case you missed it, the Hershey Bears shutout the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in Allentown yesterday – the first the Chocolate and White have won at PPL Center since April 2017 (Photos from that game here). In a rematch today, Hershey again took down the Phantoms this time in a 5-4 victory.
The Bears picked up two goals on their first two shots of the game and would eventually chase the Phantoms goalie Brandon Komm for Alex Lyon. Vanecek helped the Bears stay in this one stopping 23 of 27 shots.
Also, Riley Barber is continuing to kill it. He’s on a five game point streak and in his last nine games, he has six goals and eight assists, including his two helpers tonight. Birthday boy Ryan Sproul kept up his three-game point streak. Sgarbossa is also on a three-game streak and shout out to him for 30 points in 39 games, as well. In his third game back from an injury in December, Hobbs scored a goal and assisted on another.
