HERSHEY, PA. — New Year, new team – well not really, but you know what I’m saying. The Hershey Bears took to the ice for practice before their first game of 2019. There’s no sugar coating it, this team has had its struggles thus far, but maybe the New Year will rejuvenate the team. The Bears have games this weekend against some Western Conference competitors as the Grand Rapids Griffins and Milwaukee Admirals come to town.
Yeah, I think you get it – I’ll stop rambling, and you can all get to the photos now. 🙂
Connor Hobbs is back out there after being out with an injury.
Oh and it’s Hobbs’ birthday!
That’s our All Star.
Walker and Ness all smiles after scoring.
Tobias Geisser is back in Hershey after being released from the Swiss World Juniors team.
Walker barely peeking out there behind Geisser.
More Nathan Walker celebration – this time with Hobbs.
Lewey is back after his Gordie Howe hat trick in Washington – not a big deal.
Head Coach Carbery talks with Mason Mitchell on the bench.
That blocker save though.
Walker and Vanecek spent a solid minute just slapping each other with their sticks for no apparent reason.
Practicing those one-timers. And sometimes your twig breaks.
