On a night in which young defenseman Tyler Lewington recorded his first career Gordie Howe Hat Trick in his second career game, fellow young blueliner Madison Bowey added a milestone of his own with his own first NHL goal.
A former second-round pick of the Capitals, Bowey played all of last season with the team, helping the club win its first Stanley Cup. Bowey’s first NHL marker at the 1:01 mark of the second period of the Caps’ Saturday night tilt with the Ottawa Senators, on an assist from Tom Wilson. The goal can be seen below:

Heading into Saturday night’s game, Bowey had five assists in 26 games played, averaging 13:36 of ice time for Head Coach Todd Reirden. Bowey also dropped the gloves with Ottawa’s Brady Tkachuk after the latter took exception to a check by Bowey.
