HERSHEY, Pa. — So the loss isn’t as bad as what it seems, Providence had two empty net goals on the night, but it’s still another loss for the Hershey Bears no matter what the final score is. After a big win in Wilkes-Barre against the Penguins last night, the Hershey Bears couldn’t get the job done at home against the Providence Bruins, who are also struggling losing seven of their last 11.
The Bears’ lone goal of the evening came from Mike Sgarbossa, who scored his 15th of the season. Defenseman Ryan Sproul assisted on Sgarbossa’s goal, adding his fourth point in his 10 games in Hershey.
The two teams will face off for a rematch on Sunday night at the Giant Center – stay tuned right here for coverage from that game.
