Alex Ovechkin Gives Fan A Puck on Her 18th Birthday And Her Reaction is Priceless

While Ovechkin’s first ballot Hall of Fame career (which includes his latest All-Star Game election) is no doubt one reason Capitals fans love him, the person Ovechkin is no doubt plays an even greater role in the adoration fans have for The Great Eight. On Thursday night, Ovechkin proved what a phenomenal human being he is once again.

During warmups prior to the team’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Ovechkin skated in front of a young fan who had come down to ice level to watch the team, with a sign that said “It is My 18th Birthday, Can I Get A Puck?”. Ovechkin, clearly aware of the sign, flipped a puck over the glass to the fan, who burst into tears of joy upon receiving the biscuit from Ovechkin. The video is below:

While Ovechkin didn’t record a goal during the game, he clearly “scored” with a memory one young fan won’t forget anytime soon!
