Hershey Bears Hold 3-2 Lead Against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Photos)

HERSHEY, Pa. — In front of a crowd of 10,500+, the Hershey Bears had a big bounce back win against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins after a shut out loss to another division rival – the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Wednesday. With the win tonight, the Bears snapped a four game losing streak.

All three of tonight’s goals came on the power play from Mike Sgarbossa, Nathan Walker, and finally, Riley Barber with the game winner towards the end of the second. Barber had himself quite a game, factoring in all three of the Bears’ goals and picking up three points on the evening.

WBS would also tally one on the PP and went 1 for 3 on the evening. Good on the Bears for keeping out of the box and killing two penalties with big PKers like Lewington and Hobbs out of the lineup. Also shout out to Vanecek for stopping 26 of 28 shots, picking up his sixth win of the season.
