Washington Capitals Visit MedStar Georgetown University Hospital

The Washington Capitals made their annual visit to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Monday afternoon. The team departed MedStar Capitals Iceplex following their practice Tuesday morning. NoVa Caps photojournalist Joe Noyes was on hand to capture a few images from the event.

The team divided into groups to visit adults and children who are either hospitalized or receiving out-patient treatment.

Select players also participated in a “Flashes of Hope” photo shoot with patients and their families. Flashes of Hope is a national nonprofit organization that raises money for pediatric cancer research and changes the way children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses see themselves through the gift of photography.
