Hershey Bears Lose 1-0 to Lehigh Valley Phantoms in Allentown (Photos)

ALLENTOWN, PA — One goal games are tough ones to lose, but there were some positives for the Hershey Bears tonight in their 1-0 loss to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. They played solid three periods, which isn’t something we see too often as the young team will start strong and fade out throughout the second period.

Vitek was great between the pipes again, coming off his big 6-3 win over the Binghamton Devils. It’s good to see him bouncing back after an injury. The Bears were also without Riley Barber who got a call-up and Sergei Shumakov terminated his contract with the Caps.

Tonight’s matchup is in the past with games coming up Saturday against the Hartford Wolf Pack and Sunday against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. There’s still time to win the week boys.
