The Washington Capitals returned to the ice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex after a 4-1 win against the New York Islanders on Monday. The team hosts the New Jersey Devils at Capital One Arena at 7 PM on Friday. Action can be seen on NBC Sports Washington. Here are all of the news from Wednesday’s practice:
Center Evgeny Kuznetsov, who is labeled as day-to-day with a possible concussion, skated in a light blue no-contact jersey prior to practice and participated in the whole practice session. He has missed the past six games.

Forward T.J. Oshie was on the bench prior to practice shooting pucks but was not in uniform. The forward is also labeled as day-to-day with a possible concussion and has missed the past six games.

Oshie, defenseman Michal Kempny, and forward Devante Smith-Pelly (lower-body injury) each did not participate in practice. Kempny skated with conditioning coach Mark Nemish after the team moved to the other rink. The team said Smith-Pelly and Kempny were each taking maintence days.
