Alex Ovechkin has moved up the ranks on several All-Time career lists.
- Passed Dino Ciccarelli (608) for 18th place on all-time NHL goals scored list on 10/4/2018 in road game against Pittsburgh
- Passed Bobby Hull (610) for 17th place on all-time NHL goals scored list on 10/10/2018 in home game against Vegas.
- Passed Bernie Federko (1,130) for 56th on all-time point list on 10/17/2018 in home game against New York Rangers
- Passed Marian Hossa and Patrick Marleau (1,134) for 54th on the NHL all-time point list on 10/22/2018 in road game against Vancouver
- Passed Dino Ciccarelli (232) for ninth on the NHL power-play goals list on 10/22/2018 in road game against Vancouver
- Passed Mark Messier (122) for 13th on the NHL multigoal games list on 10/22/2018 in road game against Vancouver
Nicklas Backstrom Milestones
- Recorded 800th career point on 10/3/2018 against Boston Bruins
- Recorded 600th career NHL/Capitals assist on 10/22/2018 in road game against Vancouver
- Backstrom is just the third player in franchise history to record 800 career points in a Capitals sweater (Alex Ovechkin: 1,136; Peter Bondra: 825). Backstrom became the first member of the 2006 NHL draft class to hit the 800 career points mark

- Jakub Vrana played in his 100th NHL/Capitals game on 10/17/2018 against the New York Rangers
- Matt Niskanen recorded his 300th career point on 10/10/2018 against Las Vegas
- Defenseman John Carlson‘s 14 points (goals) in the month of October set a franchise record for most points in the month of October by a defenseman (Larry Murphy: 12 points, 1986-87); and he became the 10th different defenseman in NHL history to do so, and the first since Jeff Brown in the 1993-1994 season, per NHL Stats.

- Alex Ovechkin – One power-play goals shy of passing Marcel Dionne (234) for eighth place on the NHL power-play goals list. Two multi-goal games shy of passing Steve Yzerman (124) for 12th place on the NHL multi-goal games list.
- Dmitry Orlov – Five assists shy of 100 career assists
- Devante Smith-Pelly – Five points shy of 100 NHL points
