Hershey Bears Beat Phantoms 3-1 + Team Autograph Night (Photos)

HERSHEY, PA — Seems like the Bears are finding their groove, picking up four out of six points on a weekend full of games against division rivals. After starting the season losing their first five games, it’s probably nice for the boys to win four of their last six games. Tonight’s opponent, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, came into the matchup winning five of their first eight games.

Sgarbossa started the scoring early in the first period followed by Liam O’Brien scoring early in the second. In the third, the Bears’ scoring would wrap with a penalty shot goal from Riley Barber. Vitek Vanecek was stellar in net, stopping 34 of 35 shots.

Following the game, the Bears stuck around for a 75-minute autograph session with the fans. And I have a ton of adorable photos of the boys with all the young fans who stuck around – you’ll want to check them out. 🙂

If you want to read more about tonight’s matchup against the Phantoms, check out our post-game recap. Keep scrolling for photos from the game and team autograph night – you know the deal.

How cute is this? I’m not crying a little, you are.

A little Shane Gersich for the Caps’ fans who want to check in.

IDK why Pinho is smiling, but I love this photo.

That scary moment when you think the team scored, but it actually went behind the net. Phew.

Get outta my crease.

Barber scores on a penalty shot.

And Sgarbossa loves it.

Round of applause for Vanecek – your second star of the game.

Time for autograph night photos! Starting of with Bindulis.

Logan Pyett

This little guy was wearing a Hobbs’ shirt, and I watched him go up his line and every time he inched closer to meeting Hobbs, he would smile and look at his dad.

Look at how happy he is! This is what it’s all about. A little signature made that kid’s day.

Man. Bun.

Loving the sneakers and the suit. Winning the style game.

Complete with high five.

I wonder how many people talked to Bau about his height?
