Hershey Bears Host Washington Capitals Night for Game Against Bridgeport (Photos)

HERSHEY, PA — For game two of the season, the Hershey Bears took on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The matchup was also affiliation night for the Chocolate and White as the Stanley Cup, Slapshot, and the Red Rockers came to town. Fans lined up and waited for hours for a quick photo with the greatest trophy in sports – the Stanley Cup. It was a nice way for fans in Hershey to get a chance to see the cup and see some formers Bears’ names engraved in all its glory.

As far as the game goes, the Bears unfortunately dropped back-to-back games to start the season. Not the best start, but there are plenty more games to go – this is only the beginning! After the game, the fans could bid on the game worn Caps-themed jerseys the boys donned.

If you want to read more from tonight’s matchup, check out the recap, and keep scrolling for some photos!

The Junior Starter of the Game joins the starting lineup.

Former teammates pitted against each other.

Making saves and taking names.

Ahh, I remember when Chris Bourque was scoring for the Bears.

Sgarbossa gets the Bears on the board. He has goals in both of the Bears’ games so far. (Photo also feature Assistant Coach Wellar’s head!)

Unfortunately, Bridgeport got another one.

Chris Bourque comes out to a mix of boos and cheers. The guy will always be a legendary Bear.

Philip Pritchard the Keeper of the Cup got a specialty jersey to take home!
