Hershey Bears Name New Leadership Group

On Friday the Hershey Bears announced their new leadship group for the upcoming 2018-2019 season. The team did not select a Captain, choosing to go with six alternate Captains for the season.

Riley Barber, Liam O’Brien and Aaron Ness will all serve as alternate captains at home this season. Tyler Lewington, Mike Sgarbossa and Colby Williams will wear the “A” on the road.


Last season, the Hershey Bears leadership core consisted of captain Garrett Mitchell and alternates Chris Bourque and Zach Sill. All did not return to the Bears this season.

The Bears also announced their opening night roster on Friday. (More here.)

The Bears begin their quest for a 12th Calder Trophy on Saturday when the play host to the Syracuse Crunch. Puck drop is set for 7:00 pm at Giant Center.
