After the Capitals won the franchise’s first Stanley Cup in June, fans everywhere paid homage to their favorite team in a variety of ways, from tattoos, to renaming towns. The United States Capitol Police and D.C.’s Metropolitan Police are the latest to join the list, as they have had patches made commemorating the team’s championship. While the patches won’t be worn on their respective department’s uniforms, they are for sale. 

The United States Capitol Police is responsible for protecting the Congress of the United States in Washington D.C. and throughout the country as a whole. As mentioned above, the patches are being sold through the Capitol Police Department, with each patch costing $4.50 apiece.

Payments can be made to Matt Foresta via PayPal at Fire7Rescue@Yahoo.com, and depending on when an order is placed, shipping can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, as supplies are currently limited. Purchasers are asked to click on Family and Friends once accessing PayPal so that fees do not apply to the order. The Metropolitan Police Department serves the Nation’s Capital and these patches were specially made by small company Copper Gear. These patches, as mentioned above won’t be worn on active duty uniforms, but can be found for purchase HERE, for $6.50 apiece.
