The Capitals and Bruins faceoff on the back-end of a home-and-home set at Capital One Arena on Tuesday night. Boston downed Washington by a 2-1 final in a shootout on Sunday to kick off the short series between the two teams. The game can be found on NBC Sports Washington. Here is all of the news heading into the game:

Goaltender Braden Holtby will make his 2018-19 debut and Ilya Samsonov will make his Capitals‘ debut on Tuesday night against the Bruins. Forwards Riley Sutter, who was the Capitals’ third-round pick in 2018 will also make his Capitals debut. Forward Kody Clark, who was the Capitals’ second-round pick of this past summer’s draft, will also be in the lineup for the second consecutive game. Defenseman Alexandar Alexeyev, who the Capitals picked in the first round of the 2018 draft, is on the game roster but sat out Sunday, when he was also listed on the team’s game roster. The complete game roster for Tuesday:

The team will dress a top line featuring Axel Jonsson-Fjallby, T.J. Oshie, and Nicklas Backstrom for Tuesday night’s tilt.

Other notable Capitals who are slated to play against the Bruins include center Nic Dowd, forward Shane Gersich, center Travis Boyd, and defensemen Matt Niskanen, Dmitry Orlov, Lucas Johansen (Capitals’ 2016 first-round pick), and Martin Fehervary (Capitals’ 2018 second-round pick).

Oshie, Backstrom, Niskanen, Orlov, and Holtby are the only players from the Capitals’ lineup in Game 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights on June 7 dressing on Tuesday.

Many of the Bruins’ regulars are still in China, where they will finish their preseason series with the Calgary Flames on Wednesday morning. Because most of the Bruins’ are in China, the NHL waived their rule that teams must dress eight “veteran” players for the game at most. The Capitals and Bruins may each dress six veterans for Tuesday night’s game.
