Hershey Bears‘ defensemen Connor Hobbs and Colby Williams discussed going through their hockey careers together with sports reporter Taylor Shire of the Global Regina.

Williams, 23, played five seasons with the WHL’s Regina Pats spanning from 2011-16 and was captain during his final season there. Hobbs, 21, played for Regina from 2014-17. Williams tallied 25 goals, 104 points, and a +30 in 211 career games with Regina, while Hobbs tallied 51 goals, 142 points, and a +35 rating in 158 career games with Regina.
The two were also taken in the same draft class. Hobbs was taken 143rd overall (fifth round) in 2015, while Williams was taken 173rd overall (sixth round).
The two are now in Hershey together and are two of the Capitals’ best defensive prospects.
